Audacity will not open mp3 files...

ok in the other version i was able to select an audio, by right clicking on the mouse then "save as" how do i do it on this version? everything is grayed out now

i really don't know, when i had it open, everything was grayed out, then i closed it and just re-opened it and it worked, perhaps it was just an odd little glitch

The usual cause of that is that Audacity is in "Pause" mode rather than "Stopped". Many of the menus are unavailable while recording or playback is paused.

oh i see, i didn't know that, thanks for that info, i'll keep that in mind next time, i probably had it on pause and didn't realize it
