How Can I Replace Mac OS X for My Mac With a Linux Distribution? I have Mac OS X and I like it OK, but I want to have a dual boot and transition to Linux. How would I buy a Linux distribution for Mac hardware. This seems to me to be a much more secure solution.

Audacity 1.2.x is now obsolete. Please use the current Audacity 2.1.x version.
Mac 0S X 10.3 and earlier are no longer supported but you can download legacy versions of Audacity for those systems HERE.

Which this? This OS-X or This Linux?
I'm wondering what you consider to be the advantages of both? Most of the people in the Systems Office run linux on the firewall and then plain OS-X on their personal machines. Some dual boot into Windows to get stuff you can't do any other way. My favorite gripe is Office for Mac which doesn't come with Publisher.
Anyway, I can't find my license for Parallels which I bought but never installed. That is supposed to be able to let me boot into Mac OS-X or Other Stuff. I don't believe it's limited to Windows versions.

You know OS-X is sitting on top of a Linux platform, right? One of the Flame/Inferno setup engineers sets up and runs his Mac from its linux command line.
