Cannot export audio to (filename.aiff)

I have used 1.2.6 to export about 100 LPs to iTunes, with few problems. Today I imported & saved to aiff side-1 of an album. Then I imported side-2, split into tracks, and attempted another EXPORT MULTIPLE. Got a message saying -- Cannot export audio to (filename.aiff). I tried again. Then I downloaded 1.2.6a and got the same message. Any ideas? I have plenty of memory and free disc space (120GB) on a 2.7 MHz G5.

<<<Cannot export audio to (filename.aiff).>>>
That's not what it actually said, was it? I'm betting it was complaining about you putting punctuation marks inside your filename.

Most computers will throw up if they see a filename like that. Upper and lower case letters, numbers, dash, and underscore are the only characters allowed inside a filename. I have to push files between all three computer platforms, so I don't use spaces, either.
Alternately, you tried to Export a file to a location where you didn't have proper permissions.
Go > Utilities > Disk Utilities > Select your drive > Verify Disk and Repair Permissions
