Once I've finished with a project, and exported what I want to save as an .aiff file, I want to totally delete the project. Everything. All of it. All .aup files and all .au files. I can't find how to do this. Please help. Thanks!!!

I've often wondered that. I have no idea because in spite of doing substantial production work in Audacity, I don't use Projects. I don't need multiple channel productions or do any of the other things that make Projects valuable. I export capture masters at the beginning, edit my brains out and export deliverables at the end. No Projects.
Maybe one of the other elves uses Projects.

This Elf has responded to a similar post befoer - fortunately I managed to dig it out:
There is no Delete Project function in Audacity - you have to do it manually - it has been requested as a Feature Request.
An Audacity project called <project_name> consists of a number of things
1. a top level master project file called <project_name>.aup
2. a folder at the same filing level called <project_name>_data
3. and within the folder a sub-folder structure with lots of little .au files - segments of the recording (mainly audio clips - but a couple of them are graphics files)
So you need to delete the .aup files and their related folders - and note that this will NOT remove them from the recent files list in Audacity.
