Is there something in Audacity--or is there plans for something--that works like the Gain Envelope in Peak: an effect that enables me to select a portion of sound and use a graph with points to raise and lower the volume, as opposed to a more global volume effect?

By the way, I love, love, love this program!

You may consider the Envelope Tool, just to the right of the "I" beam in the upper left of the work window.
