Audacity 1.2.x is now obsolete. Please use the current Audacity 2.1.x version.

The final version of Audacity for Windows 98/ME is the legacy 2.0.0 version.

No Input from VidBox

Post by BelowZero » Mon May 11, 2009 9:39 pm

I have a new Dell Studio computer running Vista. I am trying to input into Audacity using a device called Honestech MyVidBox (USB interface). It works fine importing Video/Audio to my Video Software (Pinnacle), but if I plug in audio cables from my mixer and try to record audio only, all I get is a flat line. Audacity lets me choose this input from preferences, so it must know it's there, but it won't let me record from it. I have updated all drivers and I know there's a signal entering the VidBox. Any suggestions?? Thanks.

Video digital sound standard is 48000, 16-bit, Stereo. Try resetting Audacity to that, restart and try again.
