Re: No sound playback
I have the same problem. Tonight Wednesday May 04. I copied multitrack wav. files to Audacity. After saving the project I went to play them back and there was no sound. I am wondering if there is a mute function that I don't know about. Sorry I am answering a question with a question but I would like to know too.

<<<microphone recording,>>>
Sometimes if you have a USB microphone, the computer tries to send the playback back out to the microphone instead of the computer speakers. Change in Windows Control Panels.
Windows Control Panel

You didn't say so, but did you get the Audacity bouncing red lights sound meter running when you were recording and did you get a blue waveform and timeline after you stopped? If you didn't, then you didn't get a recording.
Alternately, if all that worked exactly right and then you tried to move the Audacity Project, it may drop dead and not be able to find your show sound.
