Audacity 1.3.7 export problem
I have been using Audacity for quite a few years now and have never encountered this problem. After downloading the new beta version of Audacity 1.3.7, I can no longer choose which bit rate to export at. The option is there as 256(default), however even when you check the 128 and hit ok, it still exports at 256. I am making ringtones and cannot use them with the bitrate that high. The older version allowed you to choose, this new beta seems to let you choose, but won't execute the change. Anyone have any ideas?

Re: Audacity 1.3.7 export problem
I seem to rememer a posting a while back from Gale Andrews (one of the developers) pointing out this bug in 1.3 - but I thought they had fixed it by 1.3.7 ....
A workaround for you would be to export as WAV and then find a standalone WAV to MP3 converter (a google of t'interweb should probably yield a free one). You should find with stand alone converters that you ger more fine-tune controls than you do with the LAME plug-in for Audacity.

Re: Audacity 1.3.7 export problem
Thank you for the response....After about half hour, I figured out what I wasn't doing. They did fix it and it is under options at the final step before it exports to your file folder. Again, thanks for the response.
