Settings for Silence Finder values

I'm trying to use Silence Finder to split the single track captured from a cassette into individual tracks. I've been playing around with the settings for silence level and silence duration, but no matter what I do, I end up with FAR more files than there are songs...can anyone offer me a guide to sorting that out?

If too many silences are detected, you need to increase the silence level and duration by moving both those sliders to right.
