Hello,
When I make a recording, I am often not in front of Audacity to stop the recording at the correct time and end up with a huge file that is mostly silence. I am wondering if there is a way to tell Audacity how long the recording is supposed to be? That way, even if I am not in front of Audacity to stop the recording at the appropriate time, it will stop itself.
Thanks, Isaac

Not in 1.2. I think there's a timer in 1.3.

Yes indeed, there is a timer in 1.3.x - don't be too wary of using the beta 1.3 version 1.3.7 is fairly mature now and pretty stable - I use it all the time.
