I'm very new to this but why, when I start a recording and want a break, can I not continue the recording on the same track - another one opens up?
Do I need to combine all these manually?
Thanks
Martin

That's one way. The other way is to press pause instead of stop. The timeline will sit there and wait for you to continue.
I predict [pressing fingers to forehead] that the next thing you're going to want is to back up and record over a mistake. That you can't do during capture. That's a post production job.

Good call on the pause, that will work for me.
I'm not too bothered about re-recording as I'm using it for transcription (maybe a heinous activity with such a cool bit of sofware, but hey
).
Many thanks for the heads-up.
