So I successfully recovered the .au files after a crash. I decided to paste all of them into one project and save them later so i could conjoin them at a later time. However, I went to put them together today and there was no sound. To add to this, when I zoom into the wavelengths the waves go flat. Is there any way to recover the files?

EDIT: the _data folder and .aup were initially saved onto the desktop (as mentioned, this was a split second decision). I tried my own troubleshhotong since and moved them into their own folder.

Mistake 1. You can't move Audacity Projects. Put it all back where it was. The official location of everything, files and folders, is burned into the AUP file.

Mistake 2. Never do anything manually to the Project Files. All actions and movements have to go through Audacity.

After you get everything back to where it was, download and use the Disaster Recovery tools.

Then after you get that to work, Export As WAV to get an actual, stand-alone, music file. That you can move to wherever you want.

Any idea why? Did you do something silly, or you have no idea?
