Hi, I just thought I would point out a problem I've had. I got Audacity set up to record an orchestra rehearsal and did so, and I wanted to put the recordings online so that the orchestra members could download them and listen before our concert next week. I did so, but when I got home and tried exporting them as MP3 files (so I can save bandwidth on my webhost), I ran into problems with the LAME encoder. I downloaded it from the official website (http://lame.buanzo.com.ar/) and set it to load the dll in Audacity, but I would always get the message "Could not open MP3 encoding library!"
So after trying this for a while, I found this site on Google: http://www.free-codecs.com/Lame_Encoder_download.htm and downloaded the dll from there, and everything worked perfectly. This is weird, because I was downloading the exact same version both times (3.98.2) and the one on the official site seems to have some sort of problem.
Like I said, I'm just pointing this out for reference. Thanks.
