corrupted files?

I am unable to download Audacity because twice a window said the files were corrupted.
Do you know how to get around this or where to go for useable files to download? Thanks, C

I recommend Audacity 1.3 rather than the 1.2 version (which is now very old).
Note that the "Sourceforge" web-site that host the downloads is advert supported, so be careful to download Audacity and not some other program. If you have difficulty downloading, there is a link near the top of the actual download page that allows you to select a different "mirror" (the location of the server that you are downloading from).
