also have you had a look in control panel > sound. There could be a conflict in there. I remember when i wanted 5.1 speakers I enabled them in the realtek manager but it didnt work until i changed it in the windows sound application.

So look through each screen/tab of the realtek as well windows sounds. ie. go to advanced/configure etc.

Hi ,
I've got a similar problem with Audiotek as the recording levels are just too low ,even when I'm using a microphone to record live.I've been through all the different options and think that the problem is in audio manager the recording settings dont have any slide controllers so you cant actually set them or see where they are currently set . Ive reinstalled the driver but still the same problem. This is a real pain as I also use band in a box and I would like to use their record function as well has anyone got a solution of should I just get a new soundcard
