Voiceover

When I select "Stereo Mix" in Preferences I can record music from a CD.
Then I can select "Microphone" and make a second recording of my voice.

So . . . . . how do I combine these two recordings into a single "Voiceover music" recording?

Or, alternatively:

What I'm trying to do is record chapters of my novel so I can upload them to PodioBooks.com.
I've listened to many of their books and found that an introduction with music which slowly fades as a narrator begins talking is a real nice touch.

Could anyone suggest a simple and effective way to do this?

Thank you in advance

It is both quicker, and higher quality to "rip" the audio from the CD rather than record it. There is a good, free CD ripper called "C-Dex". You should rip the CD in WAV format, then you can import the ripped tracks (or just drag and drop them onto Audacity).
