Audacity 1.2.x is now obsolete. Please use the current Audacity 2.1.x version.

The final version of Audacity for Windows 98/ME is the legacy 2.0.0 version.

Sound sensitivity

Post by sasu » Sun Mar 29, 2009 3:55 pm

I've got a small problem which ill try to explain. When recording sound to Audacity from my audio device, it is so sensitive to the sound, so that the sound waves become to extreme and the sound is disorted. This wasnt a problem before. Usually it captured the right amount of sound, and everything was "controlled".

I must've clicked on something which made it go bad. It's not only in Audacity, but any other recording matters.

Please help quickly! thanks :)

Normally this is controlled with the slider in the upper-right part of the Audacity window, to the right of the little picture of a microphone. Have you tried dragging that slider lower? --Allen
