Windows7 + 1.2.6 crashing

Hi,

I'm running Windows 7 and my version of Audacity(1.2.6) has been crashing - anyone have any info on this? Thanks.

Windows 7 is still a Beta operating system, so unsupported. But from a few tests and other reports,
1.3.7 works quite well with Windows 7.

If you still get crashes then try updating the drivers of the computer sound device, so they are the latest ones specific to your particular computer model, as supplied by the device or motherboard manufacturer:

I very much doubt drivers specific to Windows 7 are available, so if you have to go to the motherboard or sound device manufacturer's web site, your only option may be drivers for Vista. However those should work as the audio architecture is essentially the same on Windows 7.
