I want to record my skype telephone calls and make podcasts.
I want to record my microphone on one track. And "mixage Stereo" (not sure of English translation) on another track.
I would then combine the two tracks and export as an mp3.
I cannot afford Adobe Audition, which I think can do it. If Audacity is not the right software (I use it a lot and am pretty sure it cannot unless there is a plug-in) what other sourceforge project should I look at? If not is there a plug-in I can use?

Re: Record multiple tracks with multiple inputs
Audition can't do it, either. The only two ways to record both sides of a Skype or Vonage telephone call are the company's own software package or the paid license of Pamela.

Many people would like to do that. Audacity will only record one thing at a time.
So many people want the same thing, I wonder if there isn't a paid package that will do this...

Thanks. I guess I won't even install the 3-day trial of Audition. I saw a mention here:

I had high hopes.

You're allowed to argue with me here. I'm going with the known problems that VOIP has and logical extrapolation of other people's problems.
Someone posted that if you have Stereo Mix on your sound card, you can record the port that feeds your speakers, so anything that appears there is fair game. Audacity will do that, you don't need Audition, or its daddy, Cool Edit. Another known problem you're going to have with multiple programs running in your machine at once is overlapping hot keys. Quick, what does Alt-R do in Audition?
What are you going to use to play your music beds, themes, and stingers into the show and how are you going to control it? Audacity and I'm believing Cool Edit and Audition will only run one program on one machine at a time, and that one's busy recording the show.
