Dont' have Preferences under Editting!!!!

Okay so I want to record but I want to record while listenning to the music I am singing along to...But it's not working the way I wanted to so I came on here. The thing is I don't have preferences under edit when I am on my wavepad software. Please help anyone!!!

These are the forums for Audacity, not Wavepad. Perhaps you meant to say Audacity? If so, try this thread:

You need to record something or import a recording before you can set the items in"Edit".
