I-tunes not loading onto Audacity properly

Complete Newb, attempting to load i-tunes from windows media player onto Audacity, everything works fine in procedure but all it loads is about 2-3 sec.s? The end use is that I am trying to change the format of my I-tunes to WAV to use in Windows Movie Maker, any help would be appreciated, thanx

iTunes® music is generally saved in Apple AAC format which is an H.264 variation. Windows Medial Player® saves music in Windows Media format, another H.264 variation. Audacity 1.2 doesn't understand either one.
Audacity in any version doesn't do format translations very well.
Convert your music using Super or Switch (Google) to the format you want.
