I Hope you will bare with me my computer literacy is somewhat limited. I am attempting to record from one PC to another using Audacity via a Citronic usb audio capture device. I have plugged the input(to The Citronic) line into the earphone socket of the PC I wish to record from and the usb citronic into a suitable usb port in the other PC. The recording appears OK (recording direct from Windows media player)with the wave line registering etc. On playback however the sound is very distorted and the speed is approximately twice as fast as the the original music . Could anyone suggest how I may improve the quality of the sound once it has been recorded .
Many thanks

Re: playback distortion
Sounds like using a sledge hammer to crack a nut. If you just want to transfer a recording made in audacity to another PC, why not export your recording as an MP3 file, move it to a memory stick & download it to your other PC
