Hello, I am new to Audacity.
I want to record two things. Stereo mix audio from the computer, and my own voice from the Microphone.
Now, I don't know how to record two tracks at once.
I create two new ones, and set one to Stereo Mix and one to Microphone, hit record, but then it just creates a new track and records on that. On either Microphone or Stereo Mix.
Surely I am doing something wrong, and I have no idea what I am doing. So, I am asking the people who do know.
How do I go about recording on two tracks simultaneously? Thanks.
How do I record on two different tracks at once?

See this page on the wiki: http://audacityteam.org/wiki/index.php? ... _Recording
You need special equipment to do true multi-channel recording. But you say one thing you're trying to record is a stereo mix from your computer: is this some sort of live streaming thing? You'd have trouble recording live on top of that, I think. But if the stereo track isn't live, you can just import it into Audacity and then record your voice alongside it. --Allen

I want to record a VoIP call.
The receiving end will be played on the computer, in Stereo Mix, and my voice will be through the Microphone.
I was wondering if there was a way to record both, live, at the same time?

I've never tried this. Here's a link. Sounds like your best option is to use software by the company providing the VOIP service, but it might be possible to make Audacity do it. --Allen

Yes. You basically can't do that because the VOIP modules grab and hold all the sound services and you lose on Sport's Call®. Someone mentioned the "Pamela" software package to do this and yes, one of the VOIP companies makes software that will do it, too.
