Recording From Speakers.

Post by sneeksxxx8 » Thu Mar 05, 2009 9:58 pm

Evening All,

I recently download Audacity and am currently playing around at the moment.

Ive just learnt to record something from my pc speakers onto the programme. However its very crackly and distorted. Is there any way of changing it, or is it simply not a good idea to record off the speakers.

Cheers for the help...............

The sound quality depends in part on your computer hardware. There is a tutorial about this here: http://audacityteam.org/wiki/index.php? ... e_computer
Also look at the "Tips" section of the Audacity wiki (link at top of page) for optimising recording and playback performance.
