I am trying to add gverb to the last word on a recorded track, but to do so would extend the length of word beyond the tail end of the track. Rather than extending the tail end of the track, it cuts off the part of the word that extends beyond the tail. The track is a total of 12 seconds long. Is there a way to extend the tail and make the gverbed word fit.

* Generate some silence at the end of the track by hitting END on your keyboard then Generate > Silence
* Select from the start of the word to the new end of the track and apply GVerb.

Reducing the roomsize should mean you can get away with a shorter (or no) tail.

Effect > Echo also needs you to add silence to the end of the audio first, but Effect > Delay adds its own extra length as required automatically. It can produce quite a nice reverb without extending the track size much if you reduce the delay time to a short value.
