I've tried reading the Help faqs, and i'm not really getting it >.> I find topics such as "how to record streaming audio" but i want to do the exact opposite.
My problem is that its recording all sounds my computer makes. I thought wearing headphones would help so that way i could only record the sound of my voice. But somehow its still getting any sound my computer makes. To test this, i played some music, and Audacity recorded the music. So wearing headphones didnt help at all.
I only want to record my voice

You may have the computer set to record everything that it sends to the headphones. On some machines it's called "Mix Out" and some machines it's "What Your Hear."
You can arrange the proper sound in your machine with the Windows Sound Panels.

Re: I only want to record my voice
One of the fun things that happens with Windows machines is they change depending on what the manufacturer thinks is a "feature." Some machines have "Mix-Out" (total machine output) and some don't.
That can be a problem as well. On my machine, I have to be careful not to change the volume during a capture because I get a little "Poit" sound in the show.
A later development in newer machines is a bow to the music people that makes it very difficult to record the PC playback at all. All the "hidden" tools and actions that make that possible are missing.

Re: I only want to record my voice
One other point, since you missed it. "Mix Out" captures the sound on the way to either the speakers or the headphones. Doesn't matter if they're plugged in or turned on or not. The act of sending sound to the output service is what gets recorded.
