Hello all,
I'm having a problem exporting a 3 track audacity project as a wav - everything appears to progress fine - no error messages or nowt - but the final wav - despite being the correct length and the expected size of the final mix - is nothing but stuttering hiss noise.
Any clue why this is happening and what I could do to fix it?
Using the stable version 1.2 on Windows XP.
Cheers

Re: Just getting static and hiss when exporting as WAV
While there is a provision for making WAV files greater than two-track stereo, the process is buried miles down in the Microsoft Specifications and it's effectively supported by nobody.
Including Audacity.
There was a note a while ago about someone making a multi-track recording file specification, but I'd have to go back over the back postings to find it. And none of these modern, fancy-pants services are available in Audacity 1.2.
