I have a wav file imported from an LP that is too long to fit on to an 80 min. CD. Since it was a 2 record set, I could make two CDs to mirror the original recording. How do I separate the wav file into two separate file?
Help for the ignorant much appreciated.

Re: Splitting .wav files
Select half of the track, then "Export Selected" (File menu), then select the other half and "Export Selected" again.
If you want more individual tracks on the CD (like on commercial CDs) you may want to use "Export Multiple". (see here http://audacityteam.org/wiki/index.php? ... ate_tracks )
