removing voice track

Post by jackson75 » Wed Feb 25, 2009 3:35 pm

I tried removing the voice track to make a karaoke recording, and it worked great...however now every recording I play on my computer, the voice track sounds like its in a tunnel. (this is without Audacity enabled). I've looked everywhere to see if I had something set for reverb or any other effect..to no avail...any ideas how to correct??

Did you get new speakers? The Vocal Removal tools don't permanently change your machine, however, your speakers could be mis-wired and you're just now paying attention.

Play the Left-Right sound clip from here...

...and make sure only the last segment sounds weird.

That's just it...nothing was changed. I used audacity to remove the voice track on one number, and after exiting audacity all music had a problem... I tried restoring to a prior date.... (Before working with audacity) but that didn't work...I'm completely baffled..

Sorry, I apologize...I didn't notice the link to the test....I tried it and on "3" it sounded like it was in a tunnel... I assume that means my system is operating correctly and maybe it's just my hearing??
