Importing data from zoom mrs1608

Everytime I try to import a project from my mrs1608 I get an error message saying audacity has to close down
Does anyone know what's going on here? I'm using XP with sP3

Could you give us a step by step account of what you are doing, and at what point the error occurs.
Can you import ANY audio files successfully into Audacity?
