Audacity Forum

Hello All,

I am using audacity to create 1 mp3 out of multiple mp3's (For a PODcast). What I would like to happen is when I play this mp3 on the IPOD/RADIO that the artist's name and song title to display (Let's say IPOD) on the device and change as the song changes. Any ideas?

The iPod, I believe, displays the metadata of the file it's playing. If you're asking how to set metadata, Audacity will ask you for it after you tell it to export an MP3 and give it a file name. If you want what the iPod displays to change during the course of a single file being played, I don't know if that's possible. I've never seen my iPod do that, though it's pretty old. Also, keep in mind that you're losing quality when you use Audacity to decode MP3s, put them together, and then re-encode as MP3. I think I've heard of external programs that can do that without losing quality, though. --Allen

thanks for the reply. In that case...anyone figured out how to create "Chapters" in a podcast? One single file that has built in places you can skip too...I figure I can do that and change song title with every chapter....
