Hi, I'm trying to do a voice over an audio track. I used to have an XP and Audacity worked fine (well, actually, the timing was all off, but I think it was because of my sound card).
Anyway, now I have a Vista, and when I import an mp3 file into Audacity, it distorts the sound HORRIBLY. The sound is slowed down (with a certain one I tried it with, the sound was slowed from 4:23 to 12:00). There's an awful scratching sound at the beginning, and then it just plays the terrible music. I updated my sound driver, and that doesn't seem to be the problem. Help?
Edit: I don't have this problem with Beta : 0

This is by no means the first report of Audacity 1.3 working better than 1.2 on Vista.
