i have vista home edition and my plaing device is a turntable (Akai ATT05U) attached directly to the USB port. i tried installing and setting up audacity anew, but the same problem occurs everytime

audacity stops recording after about 30 secs
Hello i'm new at using audacity, after installing audacity i can record the complete side of a record, and work with it, then when trying to record another album the recording stops after about 30 seconds, everytime the time differs i have vista home edition and my plaing device is a turntable (Akai ATT05U) attached directly to the USB port. i tried installing and setting up audacity anew, but the same problem occurs everytime can anyone help me on this issue?

It sounds like you are running out of disk space. Editing an album can use many hundred megabytes of disk space with temporary files.
