crash on startup - vista

Post by sorahl » Fri Jan 23, 2009 4:04 am

I'm running the stable version (or trying to).
I did a search but everyone else seems to crash later in the process :)
I can't even it to load!
i click on the icon or load from my programs menu and it crashes immediately.

what more can i tell you? (running as admin, tried to run in XP compat mode, etc etc)

I think that you will have more success at fixing the Audacity 1.3 problems than fixing the Audacity 1.2 problems. (Audacity 1.2 pre-dates Vista SP1 and is no longer being developed).

Have another go with Audacity 1.3.6 (if you have an earlier version of 1.3, then download a new copy - Audacity 1.3.7 will be out very soon, so grab that as soon as it is available).

If you still have a problem, start a new topic in the "Audacity 1.3.x > Windows" section of the forum.
