Amplitude Finder?
Hey. I just downloaded Audacity a few days ago, and I was wondering if there was any way to find the amplitude of a clip. Forgive me if the answer's obvious- I really don't know much about Audacity or sound in general.

If you select "Amplify" from the Effects menu, it will automatically be set to the amount of amplification necessary to amplify the selected audio up to 0dB. Looking at that another way, your selected audio will be that number of dB below zero.strong414bad wrote:I was wondering if there was any way to find the amplitude of a clip
