Hi, I was just wondering if there was a limit on how long a recording session should be for the export to WAV feature to work properly. I have a fair number of session that are around 6 to 6 and half hours in length however if I try to export them to WAV it does initially appear to have encoded the entire session to even have a file size to match of around 4GB. However if I play the file only 11 to 12 minutes of the track plays as if it was the entirety of it despite being well over 6 hours long.
When exporting I basically export at 44.1Khz in 16bit PCM wav. I've also tried it on a couple of different computers in both XP32, XP64 and windows 7beta however I always get the same result. Does anyone have any suggestions since they would be greatly appreciated.
If I limit sessions to under 4 hours it seems to be fine, however I was just wonder if there was any kind of fix since it might save me a little work and drive space I don't really have.

Available drive space can be an issue. You should always have 10% or more free drive space on a Windows computer at all times.
4GB is a limit for WAV files - this is nothing to do with Audacity, it is a limit of all WAV files.

If you have sufficient free drive space, you should be able to Export long recordings by selecting sections and using "Export Selected" so as to keep the exported WAV files below 4GB.
Note that some programs or systems limit WAV files to 2GB, so for safety it is common to Export in 1GB sections.
