importing then exporting problem

Post by threshold » Wed Jan 14, 2009 5:32 pm

I exported 14 tracks from a Tascam digital recorder onto a CD as WAV files that sucessfully imported into Audacity...after I added some effects to the tracks I exported each track as a WAV file and burned a CD to return to my Tascam recorder...but my Tascam recorder won't read the files and gives me the message "wrong type of CD..." (by the way the Tascam will read the tracks from the original CD that I created to go to Audacity with)... Is there something else I'm suppose to do when I export these tracks in Audacity before burning a CD?(I have tried it with a 16 bit export and 24 bit export to no avail.

Check what sample rate the Tascam needs - to set the sample rate of the WAV files that you Export from Audacity, use the little "Project Rate" box in the lower left corner of the main Audacity window. Audacity will export using the same sample rate as the current project rate.
