Hi Audacity,

Despite the advanced techojargon on the site, I miraculously managed to record and isolate a voice track. Only having challenges comprehending the final step!: How to attach voice track to my website. I'm sure it's super easy to the computer savvy, but please indulge me on this.

Thank you,

Ty, eureka :?:

So you have recorded something and you Exported it as an MP3?
If not, you need to do that first, and to export an MP3 you need to install LAME (the MP3 encoder)
See here for details: http://audacityteam.org/wiki/index.php? ... stallation

Now you have an MP3 want to upload it to your website?

What sort of website do you have? Did you make it yourself? Do you know any HTML? do you know what FTP is?

Hi Steve,

Thanks for your reply. I will definitely export it as an MP3. The first website, I built, using webspawner.com. Would show it here, but don't want to be accused of soliciting. My second one is a replicated site from a marketing company. Admittedly don't know HTML, or FTP. Can you assist?

Thank you,

Ty

I'm not sure if websawner will allow you to upload files.

The basic way to do it is to upload the file to some webspace - it can be your webspace, or one of the many upload sites that allow direct linking, then in your web page, create a link to the MP3 file.

If you are interested in learning a bit of HTML, here is a great web-site: http://www.w3schools.com/
It is probably not the easiest, but it is up to date and accurate. If you use Google, you should be able to find many tutorials to get you started, then you can use w3schools.com to fill out your knowledge and check that you are doing things the right way.

A lot of people find it easiest to start off in web design using a WYSIWYG webpage editor. One such (free) editor is Nvu (from the same people that make Firefox web browser). http://net2.com/nvu/
