final project jumping

yeah, not to savvy with the tech terms but heres a shot.
so i recorded from my turntables/cdjs. usually when i do this it always sounds great as long as my settings are correct. however this time when i went back to listen to the track one of the stereo chanels is "jumping". like it seems like the whole track jumps out of time for like one milisecond and then gets back on. now keep in mind this is a comp i got from a friend and am in the process of rebuilding, for now it only has 128mb dram, so i m thinking that may be it. any tips? i could use em'
