WAV files not compatible to burn audio CD's

Hello, I use Audacity 1.2.6 to digitalise my LP's with a Lenco TT (L-3866USB) and found out that the exported *.wav files cannot be used to make audio CD's with Nero 6 :( Nero gives: 'not supported file format'.. Experts tell me that the files made with Audacity 1.2.6 are not 'compatible' to use in international standard CD's. I therefore make my audio CD's by using exported *.MP3 files instead. This procedure goes well in Nero but seems to give less quality CD's (because the original files are compressed I think). Does somebody know how to burn the exported *.WAV files of a LP on a audio CD? Should I f.e. use the Audacity beta (unstable) programme :?:

Make sure you are exporting your WAV files as 16 bit, not 32 bit. Nero only recognizes 16 bit WAV files

Thats it! ;) THANKS, I used 32 bit in stead of 16 bit
