Window Vista Help, Help

Please help me understand how to config the turntable to work with window vista. Booklet is for window xp. If someone would be so kind to help me from page 5 thru 6, it would be greatly appreciated.
Also, when you are recording, should the ablum sound like the chipmunks until you change the speed, or should it sound like normal?
