Input Volume Control Not Working
I've been using Audacity for my Spanish classes. Today, I can't get the input lever to stay where I move it. It slides right back to the left as soon as I release the mouse button. How can I fix that?

If it's worked in the past, close Audacity and restart the machine. You can get the Windows Sound Services and Audacity out of step and they stop talking to each other.
