Vintage degradation of sound

Post by DjangoReinhardt » Tue Dec 30, 2008 3:19 pm

Hi! I've recently started using audacity to compile a demo for gigs and am really enjoying it. I wanted to knwo whether there is some kind of effect that I can use to degrade the sound recordings so that they sound more more 'golden age'. I'm talking about things like surface noise, hissy and fluctuations. Any help would be appreciated.

Yes, there is a LADSPA effect by Steve Harris called "Vynil"
It is available from here: http://plugin.org.uk/ladspa-swh/docs/la ... h_sEc2.109
(see top of that page for download link)
