I've been using audacity for a while now for my podcast; but just the last time I used it I encountered an issue. My assumption is it has something to do with my equipment; but I don't know.
When I record every a few seconds there is an electronic fuzz sound that is really annoying. Is there any way to get rid of this? Either through audacity or if anyone can tell me that it is indeed my equipment please do. I tried all my mics and they all get the same result and I tried different mic cables and also same result.
Thanks

Re: Electric pop?
Make sure that you have plenty of free disk space.
Defragment your hard drive.
Temporarily switch off Windows update.
Check that your Anti-virus program is not causing the problem (to test, unplug from the internet and switch off your anti-virus).
I assume that you are not using a USB microphone.
