export as MP3
When I chose export to MP3 I am no longer presented the edit ID3 tags box. What have I done to cause this. The first time I used the program that worked properly - now the box doesn't show up.

Re: export as MP3
Having system problems in Windows Audacity 1.2 is a killer because the preferences values are all buried in the Dreaded Windows Registry. That's the last time the Audacity developers made that mistake.
I swear this came up before, but I can't find it. Use the Advanced Search at the top of the forum and see if you have any better luck with various search terms.
I would probably start by moving the lame dll file and don''t tell Audacity you did it. Restart Audacity. Put the dll file back and restart Audacity again.
That's as close as I can get to a "push this button" solution. Let us know what happened.

I changed locations of the lame file and then told Audacity where to find it and it is working fine - for now. Have only tried it a few times so far.
Thanks for the suggestion

If it all continues to be unstable--which is not normal, we need to start looking at your computer.
How full is the hard drive and when was the last time you error checked and defragged? An error anywhere in there will cause computer insanity--and not just with Audacity. Audacity happens to be the canary in the coal mine.

Re: export as MP3
I had this problem, and the weird part was how inconsistent it was. One file, I could export and get the window. The next file, I couldn't. Sometimes trashing the old MP3 file got me the window, other times not.
I believe if you resave your project under a new name, and then export that, it will work every time. (So far, anyway.)
