Audacity Forum

I am running Audacity 1.2.6 in Windows Vista on an HP Pavillion dv6000.

Recording sounds via the windows audio mixer from CD or DVD in my drive works fine, but when I am recording into Audacity from my microphone jack, as soon as I press stop, the program crashes.

Any ideas?

Try updating your sound device drivers so they are the latest ones for your computer model and particular version of Vista, supplied by the device or motherboard manufacturer. If that does not help, try Audacity 1.3.6 Beta.
