Trouble with playback
I recorded 3 wav tracks with an 8 track recorder and pasted them onto my pc. I dragged them into audacity. I can edit them fine, the problem is playing them. Whenever I click play, nothing happens. It just sits there. I select a certain part of it, click play, and nothing happens. Or I click stop, then back (to go to the beginning), and play, and nothing happens. What could the problem be? I've edited wav tracks with audacity a million times, so I have no idea what's going on. Thanks

Edited wav tracks made by your 8-track recorder? Do your millions of old projects still open and play OK?
