No. The cue sheet will instruct the CD burner to create separate tracks. DAO is essential so that the burner does not turn off and on between burning the tracks.

I would not, for the reasons stated. While proper software and hardware will make a DAO gapless CD from multiple files, you have a better chance burning from one file.

Nero can do gap-less CD tracks very easily - I think all versions of Nero can do this, even the cheap "Nero Essentials" (but if you are going to buy it, check that it can before you buy).

grr now I can't get Nero to recognise the burner!

It is recognised in Media Player's burning suite

it won't even bring the 'autodetect' wizard up

anyideas?

Check that your CD burner is physically connected correctly.
Check that the drivers are correctly installed.
Are you logged on as an Administrator? if not, then you need to make CD burning available to non-administrative accounts, which can be done using Nero burn rights ( http://www.nero.com/enu/support-nero6-t ... ities.html )

YAY!

I just got EVERYTHING to work with Gapless burning VIA Nero 8. Thanks to all who helped privide advice.

The mixtape doctor is in session!

Now I have some really rare audio from old DJ promos from the early 90s and late 80s on CD.
