NOOB question re garage band cf need librarys

my kids want garage band, and a google search said audacity was the closest wintel program.
I installed the program and plugins ok, but my kids say there should be librarys - drums and guitairs and things I can plug in. I'd be glad to pay for them if they exist.

You're clear they really want you to pop for a Mac, right? This GarageBand thing is just a little side trip.

Another program that may be of interest is "ejay".
It is quite inexpensive (free demo's are available for download), runs on Windows, and is very easy to use.
There are lots of different versions to choose from depending on what style of music you want to make. Each version comes packed with loads of samples that are appropriate for the style.
