Hello,

My problem just happened and i have no idea why.

I have been editing for a while now no problems and i just added a drum track into it by importing the audio. now the other tracks that were there originally wont play. the picture for the wave shape is still there and the cursor still moves past them when play is pushed, but i can only hear the drum track or any NEW track i put in.

The only things i can think of is that one is muted or soloed (it isn't) and that the data has moved from the filepath the computer thinks it is at (it hasn't)


Any ideas?

I just tried doing a random effect, like EQing a very small portion and a roughly 5 and a half second chunk dissappeared and now it just shows the flat line like there is no audio.

This to me tells me that it cannot locate the data file allocated for that section of the recording. Is there any way i can tell it where the files are? the _data folder is in the same folder as the .aup file.

It may alsobe worth noting that Audacity 1.3.x has got much improved crash recovery, so data loss is a lot less common.
